The TLN is involved in projects that further its aims of promoting education as a social good with the power to transform the lives of individuals and communities, supporting teachers to be the best teacher they can be every day and supporting unions to build the agency of their members.
In 2020 TLN is committed to the following major projects:
Strategic Partnership Program – Victorian Department of Education and Training
The TLN-SPP program assists educators working with refugee and immigrant students, students from disadvantage or low SES areas, Koorie students and EAL students. The program is delivered entirely online and is free to participants. The program is designed to support educators to develop specific knowledge and skills for the classroom. The program also offers networking opportunities to enable participants to learn with and from each other.
Participation in the program and completion of 16 hours of professional development can lead to the award of The Professional Certificate in Inclusive Education.

CRTPD Project – Victorian Department of Education and Training
The TLN has been funded by DET to deliver an extensive professional development program for Casual Relief Teachers. The program comprises 45 online webinars, 10 face to face workshops, 45 on-demand online recordings and 4 comprehensive programs. Australian Services Union – National Office
The TLN is working in partnership with the ASU National Office to deliver professional development programs for ASU member sacr4oss Australia. TLN is providing the infrastructure and the technical expertise to deliver over 50 online programs to almost 100,000 ASU members.

Graduate Teacher Learning Series – Victorian Department of Education and Training
The TLN has been contracted to produce 12 online newsletters for graduate teachers. Each newsletter includes feature articles on student engagement, teacher wellbeing and formative assessment. Each edition includes a wide range of material sourced from mentor teachers designed to support graduate teachers. The content of each newsletter is stored on a website.
