TLN Inclusive Practices Program

Free inclusive practices training

The TLN is delivering courses focussing specifically on inclusive practices through the DET Strategic Partnerships Program.
The program will provide 20 free courses on a range of topics each year as well as free access to a recording of these courses.
Individual course topics will fall into the main categories of supporting students with different cultural backgrounds, indigenous students, and students experiencing disadvantage or poverty.

Professional certificate in inclusive practices

The Professional Certificate in Education Inclusive Practice is designed as a qualification for those teachers who have developed their skills and knowledge in working with students from diverse backgrounds. The courses that lead to the Professional Certificate support teachers to understand, and respond to, the learning needs of refugee and new arrival students, Koorie students, students whose learning is impacted by poverty or social disadvantage, students with specific learning needs (e.g. ASD, Dyslexia) and students for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL). To complete the Professional Certificate, participants complete 20 hours of targeted leadership courses with TLN.

The Certificate is being delivered in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education. It is open to all Victorian teachers.
