CRTE2206 Understanding children's emotions in a COVID world

Developing emotional intelligence in children is an important cultural development for both the child and their community. Children who are aware of, and can control, or express their emotions in a healthy manner are able to handle relationships effectively. This normal developmental process will have been interrupted for many children by the COVID experience of isolation and disruption. In this session the presenter will outline how children may have been affected by the experience and explore daily routines of the Centre or Kindergarten, that are most likely to support healthy emotional development.
