CRT2236 Strategies for Secondary Literacy
Supporting students in a secondary setting to develop their literacy skills is a critical part of teaching in every subject area in a secondary school, whether you are working as a CRT or in an ongoing or contract role. It is especially useful for CRTs to have a bank of ideas and resources to support students. In this session an experienced and innovative English teacher will outline some strategies, activities and resources that all teachers can use throughout the secondary classroom. The focus will be on approaches and resources for reading and writing. It will be a practical session with resources that can be used in the classroom.
