TLN is committed to supporting the professional development of teachers who work as Casual Relief Teachers. TLN has partnerships with the AEU, IEU and Department of Education and Training to support CRTs.
Casual Relief Teachers can attend up to four full day conference each year. These conferences are hosted and subsidised by the AEU and IEU and are organised by TLN. There is a small registration fee for each conference.
Each conference delivers 7 hours of professional development to support CRTs meet their professional development needs for VIT registration. A certificate with the relevant teaching standards is provided to all participants at each conference.
Conferences are delivered live and participants can attend in person or attend the online stream from home.

The TLN is working in partnership with the Department of Education and Training Victoria to provide professional development to support CRTs to meet their professional learning needs.
TLN has planned and will deliver:
- 45 live online webinars tailored to the needs of Casual Relief Teachers
- 10 face to face professional development sessions across Melbourne and regional Victoria
- 4 comprehensive (or multi-part) programs
- 45 recordings of the webinars made available as on-demand sessions
All courses are free to Victorian CRTs.

TLN members are able to access over 100 hours of live online training and 100 hours of on demand content.
All TLN courses reference the AITSL standards and participants receive a certificate of participation containing all relevant details.
The TLN is also a registered provider with NESA which means all tln courses count towards accredited pd hours in NSW.
