Engagement activities for practical and specialist classes

Lesson structure

Description:
The great thing about being a Casual Relief Teacher is the variety in your teaching day. No two days are ever the same offering constant opportunities for professional growth and learning. However there are often other challenging factors that impact the day. What do you do when you’re assigned a specialist class that you’re unfamiliar with? Participate in this session to hear from an experienced teacher who has surpassed the challenge of teaching in an unfamiliar area, and you’ll be enjoying your day as a specialist too.  If Art is something that you see in Museums, L.O.T.E is something spoken in another country, P.E. are letters you teach Prep classes, Music is something overheard and STEM is something they talk about on the radio - then this day is for you. In this online comprehensive PD day, our specialist presenters will outline how to plan and teach any specialist lesson in a Primary School. With a ready to use bag of activities, any CRTs will be confidant of enjoying their day as a specialist. We’ll include other tips like finding classes, setting up and packing up as well. By the end of this day, participants will be equipped with practical, and on-line ideas that work and confidence to run engaging and effective classes in Art, Music, STEM, and Languages Other Than English (LOTE). Book in now.
