Description:
There is some anecdotal evidence that boys in secondary settings are reluctant readers. If this is the experience in your classrooms then this session will have some strategies that you can trial. The presenter is an experienced secondary literacy teacher and they will work through five techniques that they have used when they encounter reluctant readers. The focus is on practical classroom ready techniques that you can readily implement in your classroom, whatever subject you are teaching.
