In this one-hour webinar, participants will gain an understanding of the Child Safety Standards mandated for Victorian schools. The presenter will discuss essential topics outlined by the Victorian Department of Education, providing teachers and administrators with practical insights into ensuring the safety and well-being of children in educational environments. Drawing from the official guidelines outlined by the Victorian Government, attendees will explore key components such as creating a child-safe culture, implementing policies and procedures, screening and training staff, empowering children, and responding effectively to incidents of harm or abuse. Through reference to on-line resources, participants will learn how to identify potential risks, establish clear protocols, and foster an environment where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.
