Learning beyond the gate-Taking learning and engagement our into the community. You don’t have to run a formal weekly nature program to venture outside of your centre regularly. However, you can taking learning out into the community by planning regular excursions or outings where you all can connect with your local area and community. In this session, Heidi Ratje and a colleague will share their experiences on how they take learning beyond the gate. They will share how they plan these outings and excursions, what experiences they have done with their children in the past and how they engage learning in the local community. This could be an ideal session for planning excursions and outings for 2025.
